If you’ve spent years saying yes when your body was screaming no and now your body is showing you the cost, this is for you.

I want to talk about where you actually are right now.

You’re the woman who held it all together. The empathetic one, the smart one, the one who didn’t give up. The one who narcissists drained dry in relationships that made you feel like you didn’t know who you were anymore. You pushed through tiredness because there was always more to hold. You built your work, your friendships, your family, on a foundation of listening to what others wanted of you over listening to your own body. Because that’s what you felt you had to do to survive.

And now your body is making you listen.

Through the autoimmunity. Through the gut that won’t settle. Through the sleep that breaks at 3am. Through the exhaustion that no amount of caffeine reaches. Through the brain fog that makes work and every day tasks feel like an uphill battle.

You’ve tried what the system has offered. Your bloodwork that came back ‘normal’. The supplements. Therapy that helped process some of the relationship but not how it impacted your body. The wellness suggestions that landed like accusations.

You’re not lazy, you’re not broken, and you’re not making this up. You’ve been carrying something the system was never built to see.

Where you want to be is somewhere I know is possible. A body that you can trust again. A capacity for the work you want to do that doesn’t cost you everything. Relationships where your nervous system feels safe, not just familiar. The ability to say no when you mean no without the cost of years of guilt or weeks of recovery.

I’ve lived this. The rebuilding has been slow and it has been real, but I’ve taken seven years of trial-and-error and distilled what worked into something you can feel the impact of within months. The relief of trusting yourself again feels like freedom.

Save this for the next time you need a reminder that you’re not broken and it’s not your fault ♥️

Be a bitch, or get an autoimmune disease

The provocative on-screen text grabs immediate attention and establishes a relatable, intense dilemma.

Be a bitch, or get an autoimmune disease

0:03Setup

The speaker clarifies and expands on the initial controversial statement, setting the stage for a deeper, more nuanced explanation.

That's not quite what Gabor Maté said. Here's what he actually meant.

The speaker delves into the core issue of autoimmunity being linked to chronically ignoring one's body and the multiple contributing factors.

Autoimmunity develops in part when we chronically say yes to what our body is saying no to. It's one of the several major drivers alongside our environment, infections, gut, and chronic stress. A constellation, not a single cause.

0:25Social Proof

The video highlights how certain positive traits in high-achieving women can paradoxically lead to self-neglect and health issues.

And if you're a high achieving woman, this hits harder. The traits that made you successful, empathy, intelligence, refusing to quit, are the same traits that have you saying yes when your body's actually screaming no. They're the same traits that kept you in the narcissistic relationship, past every red flag.

0:42Content

The speaker connects these behaviors to specific autoimmune conditions, reinforcing the real-world impact.

And they're also part of the reason why the Hashimoto's, the endometriosis, the long COVID, and the sleep that just won't come are all here at once.

0:50Reveal

The speaker offers a supportive message, emphasizing that these struggles are not the viewer's fault and shares personal success.

And none of this is your fault. The traits were trained into you from a young age. The medical system that won't even look at the constellation of symptoms is not yours to apologize for. And I've lived this. I get it. The work that changed my life is rewiring my nervous system and rebuilding my self trust alongside the deeper root cause work on the other drivers of my autoimmunity. And my body's changed, I managed to get my MS into remission. And also what I've tolerated has also changed. I won't put up with the same bullshit anymore.
