$1.5 billion. That's what Fox made last year selling suspension. ㅤ Most people know Fox for high-end suspension on cars and bikes. ㅤ Here's what they miss. ㅤ Fox Factory is really three companies wearing one logo. ㅤ They split into three groups: ㅤ Specialty Sports Group Aftermarket Applications Group Powered Vehicles Group ㅤ This is marketing segmentation. ㅤ You separate your products and your marketing by who's actually buying. ㅤ And it's hiding in plain sight. ㅤ Open Instagram and you'll find: @fox @ridefoxbike @foxfactoryvehicles @ridefoxpv ㅤ Nearly 3 million followers spread across those accounts. Each one sells to a specific buyer. ㅤ That means every segment gets its own creative strategy. ㅤ Its own content. Even its own sponsored athletes. (RIP Ken Block.) ㅤ This is what lets them scale to $1.5 billion. ㅤ Their advertising was never forced into one-size-fits-all. ㅤ Try to appeal to everyone and you'll appeal to no one. ㅤ But Fox proved something most brands forget. That doesn't mean you can't sell to everyone. ㅤ You just don't talk to them in the same place, the same way, at the same time. ㅤ How many of your products are running through one account that's trying to please all of them at once?
