There are hundreds of reasons as to why athletes don't make it as a pro, but these are some of the three that I've seen, both as a pro myself and coaching a lot of elite athletes. Number one is you want the title, but not the lifestyle. So many athletes say that they want to be a pro athlete, they want to have made it. But you have to want absolutely everything that comes with it: the blood, the sweat, the tears, the losses. Yes, the wins as well. But you have to want everything with that lifestyle. If you don't want that, then don't be ready to accept the title. Number two is you compare instead of commit. You spend a lot of time looking at other people, their journeys, and what they're doing, rather than committing yourself and focusing on you and your development. The more time you spend not focusing on yourself and developing there, The third reason is that you let other people make your decisions for you and rid you of all your agency. When the reality is it is your career. You are the one that has to drive your training, the extra reps, the extra coaching sessions, You should be driving everything. You should be knowing how you want to be getting better, the things that you need to do in order to get better, and then you're Yes, you have people to support you, but you drive it mostly.
